FAQ's.
There is usually no meeting on the evening prior to the course, unless specified. Meals in Grantown and Aberlour generally stop at about 20.30hrs, so if you want food you need to be a bit earlier. We meet at 09.00hrs prompt on the first morning.
The courses are based in the Cairngorms, with a variety of venues being used. Accommodation is in either Aberlour or Grantown on Spey, depending upon the course taken.
Yes, the A9 is a fast road, giving easy access from the south.
Aviemore is closest for rail and coach. From there, taxis and the odd bus are available to get to Aberlour or Grantown.
Any. B&B seems to be the most popular, and gives flexibility for the evenings.
Everything is supplied, apart from boots and personal clothing. If you have your own gear, it would be a good idea to bring it and use it. Feel free to call us to discuss any equipment that you may wish to use or purchases that you are intending to make.
Easiest is to use the online booking form on the website. Alternatively, we can post you a booking form that can be returned by post or fax. 'Phone bookings can be pencilled in for five working days, subject to a booking form being received within that time.
We are not looking for super-human fitness, just a good general level!
Cash, cheque, credit card or postal order are all fine. Cards can be used over the 'phone, or any method enclosed with the booking form.
Full payment must be made twenty-eight days prior to the first day of the course.
Accommodation (if specified on course description), meals as per accommodation option, instruction, use of specialized equipment.
This is highly recommended. It should cover cancellation as well as personal injury and loss of equipment.
