	The ASSOCIATION OF MOUNTAINEERING INSTRUCTORS is the representative body for fully qualified instructors in the UK, and the web site gives details of how it all works.
	MOUNTAIN LEADER TRAINING SCOTLAND is the board for registering with either the ML or SPA schemes. They can be reached via the MLTUK website.
	The SCOTTISH AVALANCHE INFORMATION SERVICE have an excellent and informative site, loaded (!) with information about avalanches, weather etc, and also includes the daily avalanche forecast for the Scottish mountains during the season.
	The MOUNTAIN WEATHER INFORMATION SERVICE does exactly what it says on the tin, plus has a number of other interesting bits of info.
	The MET OFFICE MOUNTAIN FORECASTS are now free and are a useful resource for all sorts of reasons.

	KINROSS HOUSE provides an excellent and comfortable base for our courses in both summer and winter, with a very friendly hostess and excellent facilities.
	WILLOWBANK GUEST HOUSE is our base for most winter, and some summer, courses. They provide a very friendly reception with comfortable rooms and are mountaineer-friendly!
	FREETIME are a shop both on the high street and on the internet. Based in Carlisle, they sell all things mountainous and you can bank on a friendly, reliable service. The boss, Phil, puts it like this: "Phil Tinning of Freetime has been climbing and skiing for well over thirty years. His enthusiasm has not lessened over time and he is always keen to help those just getting into the outdoor world. Phil has climbed in Europe and extensively in the UK both in summer to E2 and winter to grade V, he has skied on and off piste at a very high standard in Europe, Scandinavia and North America, has completed the Munros and many more Scottish hills, and is always happy to pass on his experience to customers. 	NATIONAL RAIL ENQUIRIES, very easy to use, nearest rail link is Aviemore.
	NATIONAL EXPRESS coaches are a major connection from the south to Scotland.
	SCOTTISH CITYLINK provide coaches from all over the UK.
	EASYJET fly at remarkably cheap prices from all over the UK to Inverness. They also provide car hire, and this is often a good way to travel - fly to Inverness and hire a car for the week/weekend. Alternatively, a train from Inverness to Aviemore would do the trick.
	RYANAIR fly from Liverpool to Inverness, also allowing a fly-drive or linking train option.
	ABERLOUR is our base for SPA courses, as well as useful location for tailor-made courses.
	VISIT AVIEMORE is the site for Aviemore and the Cairngorms area. It has details about accommodation and other useful info.
	LYON EQUIPMENT distribute a huge range of climbing equipment, and their site has links to other major manufacturers.
	PETZL make an excellent range of technical kit, including helmets, harnesses and protection gear. Their web site is loaded with technical information.
	PETZL CHARLET produce some superb technical climbing axes and crampons, along with a lot of ice protection gear.
	BEAL make harnesses and ropes, along with other softwear. Their website contains a lot of info about fall factors, impact force calculation etc.
	LA SPORTIVA make a wide range of boots, from rock shoes right through to the excellent Spantik high altitude boots.
	FADERS makea variety of gear, but in particular the SUM, a great belay device and a serious rival to the GriGri.
	DMM manufacture a large range of quality gear, from harness to karabiners and from protection kit to axes and crampons. Their Pro Quadcams are the best camming devices I've ever used.
	NORTH WALES CLIMBERS website is packed with information relevant to anything to do with climbing in the area, and is a useful stopping-off point when planning a trip.
